I’m really happy with how the end product of this project turned out. It definitely took a lot of work to get everything together, but our group worked hard and managed to work together really well given the circumstances. When we first put together the website, things were a little more jumbled than I realized. At first, I made the whole combat ageism page. We ended up dispersing everything I made into different sections in order to make the website flow better. To be more specific, I found the hand picture on the “Get the Facts” page, made the age friendly language example boxes and the boxes for combatting ageism for younger and older generations with the graphics and descriptions. I also made the POWADA section, W.H.O. actions section, the organizations to supports section (links) and the “Meet the Team” page. The biggest struggle with this project was figuring out how to put it all together and have it make sense when we weren’t together. After putting some of the more main stuff on the website, I helped move stuff around and changed some of the formatting to make it mesh and turn into a story rather than a presentation. There are a lot of skills I will take from this project into the future, but learning how to work better in a group is probably the biggest.
