Week 15 Blog

After our practice presentation, I am feeling slightly worried about the state of our project, but I think we can make the necessary revisions. I think we have included enough content, but the content we have needs to be edited a little bit. Mainly Ben’s graph, Devins quiz, and the video examples I uploaded. We also need to make the website more of a story and reorganize it a bit. We got together over zoom after our practice presentation and decided to create some different sections and reorder things to start. We kept our get the facts page to explain what ageism is and why people should care. Then we moved some stuff to a new tab called “Causes of Ageism”, where we will be talking about the 3 main causes of ageism. I think we might include a page on the negative effects of ageism. I’m thinking this page needs to be more emotional than factual to help tell the story and move our audience to care about the negative effects of ageism.  Then we are going to put some methods for combating ageism for young and old people. Lastly, we are going to keep the make an impact page and include some bills and organizations to support. Hopefully, all of this rearranging and editing will get our website where it needs to be.
